Jason Medders

Born and raised in Milledgeville, Jason has enjoyed cooking his entire life. So it was natural that his first Job was at the popular and now historic catfish restaurant named Choby's! With wide-eyed enthusiasm, Jason started at the bottom as a food runner and dishwasher, soon earning the position of Kitchen Manager.

Working while attending Georgia Military College, Jason was able to observe and participate in every facet of restaurant management. Soon, Jason was identified as a member of the opening team by the Owners of Hugs Restaurant at The Cuscowilla Golf Resort. Jason enjoyed the mentorship and ability to work directly with owners Hug and Jack Flannigan. Jack was a tough, no-nonsense hospitality professional who sharpened Jason's high volume skills on the grill, as an expeditor and sauté chef. Jason took it upon himself to concentrate on improving his people and business management skills, learning inventory management, operating systems and even running his own Sunday Brunch business out of the restaurant.

From there, Jason felt the need to "cut his teeth" at some of the most respected establishments in Atlanta, ending up at Ritz Carlton Hotel Company. Jason says, "I feel my education and experiences with the Ritz Carlton were the equivalent of a Masters Degree in the hospitality industry." Jason continued to fine-tune his skills with the eventual goal of returning to Milledgeville to own his own business.

With the help of his business partner and father in law Bobby Brown, he embarked on a long journey of restaurant ownership that started with a few franchise businesses, eventually culminating in the creation of Aubri Lane's Restaurant. Named for his daughter Aubri and son Lane, Aubri Lane's offers an atmosphere of Southern charm while showcasing Jason's passion for his children and great food.

Jason is proud to offer seasonal menus comprised of southern cuisine with contemporary touches using locally sourced products whenever possible. In 2018, after nearly 10 years of success at his downtown location, Jason brought his Award-Winning concept to The Club at Lake Sinclair to serve our Members and their guests!
