Matthew and his family are from Macon Georgia where he attended Mount de Sales Academy. Upon graduation from Mount de Sales he attended Georgia Southern University, graduating with a B.S. in Sport Management Administration. During his time in Statesboro, Matthew was a member of the Men's Varsity Golf Team while working at Forest Heights Country Club under Superintendent Steve Collins.

His experiences with Mr. Collins convinced him to pursue a career in Turf Management. Matthew then attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College graduating with a degree in Environmental Horticulture specializing in Turf Management.

Matthew has been fortunate enough to contribute at many great facilities during his 20+ year career, gaining experience and knowledge at World Class Facilities to include Augusta National, Frederica GC in Sea Island, Indigo Run in Hilton Head Island, Stonebridge CC in Albany and Cuscowilla GC Lake Oconee.

Matthew is an integral part of the Leadership Team at The Club at Lake Sinclair stating "I have been Golf Course Superintendent at The Club now since January 2019. I enjoy interacting with our Members and I am proud to be part of an Amazing Winning Team!
